$1500 Energy Star HVAC Tax Credit Info

Through recent changes to the U.S. Federal Government's Energy Star program, owners of existing homes may be entitled to (up to) $1500.00 in Federal Tax Credits for purchasing and installing certain energy efficient central a/c system, heat pumps, hot water heaters and boilers, furnaces and "whole house" (main) circulating fans.

Spokane Comfort Systems, Inc. is very familiar with the Energy Star program requirements and can assist you in selecting equipment that meets your needs and qualifies for the Federal Tax Credit.

In general, the program is worth up to $1,500 to any U.S. homeowner to offset the cost of purchasing and installing energy saving home heating and home cooling equipment. The program allows you to claim 30%, (up to $1500 maximum) of the purchase and installation for equipment "placed in service" between 2/17/2009 and 12/31/2010.
